Coronavirus

We are pleased to be re-opening the cattery from Saturday 4th July in line with other businesses, and have put some new procedures in place for the safety of our customers and their cats. We are remaining flexible, as we understand the ongoing difficulties and that some of our customers may still need to cancel holidays for some time to come.

We are still receiving bookings for later this year and into next year, and you can continue to book by calling or emailing us. Unfortunately we are unable to carry out viewings at this time.

Our new procedures are as follows:

Please don’t bring your cat to the cattery if you, or members of your household, have had symptoms of Covid-19 in the 7 days prior to drop off or collection, or if you are self isolating for 14 days due to being in contact with someone confirmed to have had the virus.

Please don’t bring your cats bedding, toys, food bowls or other belongings from home at this time. Please simply bring your cat in its cat basket. We ask that you disinfect the outside of the cat basket prior to dropping your cat off. We will leave the cat basket up in the cats pen, and will disinfect the outside before giving it back to you upon collection of your cat. In each cat pen we will provide cat beds, scratching posts, litter trays and bowls. We have a strict cleaning regime for all these items.
You can bring your cats food if they are on a particular diet (including prescribed diets). However outside of this, we ask that you allow us to feed your cats from our wide range of stocked wet and dry foods, where we will try and keep their diet close to what they have at home. These include foods such as Felix, Whiskas, GoCat, Purina One, Gourmet, Royal Canin, Hills and Iams.
We are unable to accept cats on medication unless the cat will happily take it in food (such as pain relief or dietary supplements).

If possible, please email us at info@lovederecattery.co.uk or text us on 07557 785270 with a photo of your cat’s up to date vaccination card prior to boarding. If you are unable to do this, please attach your cat’s vaccination card to their cat basket upon drop-off. Prior to drop off, please also send us by text or email (or call us) with any medical or other information we should be aware of, cats diet, contact details etc.
We must be provided with an emergency contact of someone who would be able to collect your cat on your behalf should either you, or we, become ill during your cats stay. We are a family run business so if one of us has symptoms we will all have to self isolate for 14 days and your cat would need to be collected.

We will send you an invoice before you collect your cat. If possible, please make payment for your cat’s stay by bank transfer prior to collection of your cat. If this is absolutely not possible, please put a cheque or cash in an envelope, made out to M & A Webber.

When you book please agree with us a set time for drop off and collection. Please stick to these times as that is when we will be expecting you, and we can then ensure you won’t come into contact with other customers.
When arriving with your cat at the set drop-off time, the gates will be open and we will ask you to leave your cat in its box on the decked area outside reception. Please do not go into reception. We will collect your cat and take it up to its pen. [If you have not visited the cattery before, you are welcome to follow us outside to see where your cat will be staying through the perspex windows.] If on arrival you can see another customer dropping off or collecting, please wait in your car until they are finished. For collection, your cat will be placed in its box upon your arrival. Whilst we are doing this, please wait by your car or by reception, and we will deliver your cat to you in it’s carrier.
Please don’t touch any gates or door handles if possible. If you do touch something, please let us know so that we can disinfect it.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel your booking.
We hope you understand why we need to have these measures in place, and we thank you for your ongoing support and understanding. We are looking forward to seeing you and your cats again soon.
Many thanks,
Matt & Abi, Lovedere Cattery
